BRTV needs to stop communicating to customers in terms of "soon" or "very soon". In my company every project has deadlines and there are consequences for not meeting it. I would suggest adding developer section to each of device tab where viewers can understand date when feature will be available and progress on the effort updated regularly. As example, I would like to know ticket number you filed with XBMC team for Teleteka crashing using Eden and details of your efforts getting issue resolved. BRTV will greatly benefit showing us that you care.

Поддержка XBMC сказала что не может повторить данную проблему. Мы предоставили полную статистику краша в приватных сообщениях, однако это не помогло.

Posting link to XBMC forum thread is great. However, from customer point of view it gives impression that nothing was done between 1/18/2012 and 3/14/2012 (almost 2 months). In addition, what prevents BRTV from implementing Teleteka on STB, WMC or Samsung? Like I said before it would be nice to have dates.....

Dear Arlekino,

Teleteka is a very big and complicated project. It's implementation on stb is practically done and will probably be rolled out next week. Same thing for Samsung. As per xbmc, this error is on xbmc side and has nothing to do with us. We let their developers know about it and it is up to them to fix.
Dates - we cannot set any specific dates because if we do not deliver on quoted dates you will hold us liable. Since our company is not called google, Microsoft or apple we do not have hundreds of developers to work on all projects. We do everything possible to deliver utmost and robust solutions on multiple platforms and devices, however, it takes time.

Dear Arlekino,

Arlekino: Great. Finally we're getting somewhere.

As per xbmc, this error is on xbmc side and has nothing to do with us. We let their developers know about it and it is up to them to fix.

Arlekino: All true. However, based on forum thread provided there is no followup or effort to resolve problem for 2 months.

Dates - we cannot set any specific dates because if we do not deliver on quoted dates you will hold us liable.

Arlekino: Liable is not the right term to use. Nobody is going to sue you. Better concept is managing expectations.

Since our company is not called google, Microsoft or apple we do not have hundreds of developers to work on all projects. We do everything possible to deliver utmost and robust solutions on multiple platforms and devices, however, it takes time.

Arkeino: I don’t think it is an issue of company size. Apple, for example has relatively few products but they just work. Apple is known of laser like focus in product development. I value your effort to provide support on multiple platforms but none of them (with exception of PC) can be called a polished product. I would rather concentrate on making one device work and then move on to another platform.

Our solution is working great on PC/Apple via our web site
- Windows Media Center - works great, but no current support for Teleteka as it is a new section and its addition is currently being worked on
- Team Media Portal - works great, no current support for Teleteka, no plans to add support for Teleteka
- Silverlight Media Center - works great, but no current support for Teleteka as it is a new section and its addition is currently being worked on
- Old Set Top Box - works really well, but sales discontinued
- New Set Top Box - works well, but no current support for Teleteka as it is a new section and its addition is currently being worked on
- Samsung Smart TV - works well, but no current support for Teleteka as it is a new section and its addition is currently being worked on. May have issues connecting with specific routers
- PlayON - works well with most DLNA enabled devices. Some devices may cause issues such as not being able to show a list of programs in archives or VOD.
- XBMC - works well. Issues arise in XBMC v11 (Eden) on Apple TV 2, crashes when trying to play videos with 9:5 ratio. XBMC developers are notified, it is up to them to fix
- Browser Toolbar - works well
- iPhone/iPad - works with live streams only. Other sections are planned to be worked on, no ETA. You can watch all BRT services via PlayON.
- Android - no current support, however, when Android OS 4 (Ice Cream Sandwich) becomes available, it has a built-in support of our streams. ICS roll out is planned for Q2 2012
- LG Smart TV - currently being worked on, no ETA
- Boxee - currently being worked on, approximate launch - end of March 2012
- Roku - currently being worked on, no ETA

It's still a work in progress, no eta. You can take a look at lg.bestrussiantv.com and see he it works on your device. Alternatively, try m.bestrussiantv.com

Just tried it. Interface looks fine, no problem to navigate around. Video doesn't play, just a black screen after I click on any title on TV guide. Looking forward for the final version release... thanks for working on it.
